Selection process
Stage one: External review
Each eligible application or nomination will be assessed by two external reviewers from our Awardee Excellence Community – a network of awardees and alumni from across the Academy’s programmes. Those that receive below-average scores will not progress to the next stage but will receive feedback.
Stage two: Awards Committee
The Awards Committee will meet in December to review the nominations and applications that have passed the external review process to make their final selection. Up to five awards of £3,000 will be made. The Awards Committee will select an overall winner who in addition to their cash award, will receive the Academy’s Sir George Macfarlane Medal.
For details on the assessment criteria used by both the external reviewers and the Awards Committee, please refer to the nomination guidelines nomination guidelines.
