Professor Efi Foufoula-Georgiou is a world leader in hydrology, hydro-climate science, and geomorphology, whose pioneering work has transformed understanding and prediction of precipitation, water-cycle extremes, and landscape evolution. A member of the US National Academy of Engineering and recipient of multiple prestigious awards, she is renowned for her scientific vision, interdisciplinary leadership, and global impact on water sustainability. She has advanced stochastic hydrology, developed novel remote sensing algorithms, and pioneered integrative approaches for linking climate, hydrology, and sediment transport.
