Professor Anatoly Zayats has made pioneering contributions to photonics and nanotechnology, in the areas of nanophotonics and metamaterials and their applications in optical sensors and nonlinear optics. The approaches and techniques he has developed have been exploited in optical information processing and signal modulation as well as bio- and chemical sensing in both free space and integrated photonics. He has led numerous research projects in collaboration with industry and worked with many technology companies.
