Fiona Cousins’ exceptional leadership in design thinking, technology and management has seen her receive awards of excellence from client, professional and industry bodies in the UK and US. She has led multidisciplinary teams on major projects, always pushing the boundaries of technology and sustainability practices. Building on her passion for design and building services engineering and their impact on communities, she is now Arup’s COO for Total Design. She influences industry through publications and presentations, live and online, including an invited article in the 100th anniversary edition of Ingenia. She served as President of CIBSE (the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers) between 2024 and 2025 and Chair of USGBC (the US Green Building Council).
