Professor Ian McRobbie is Senior Vice-President and Chief Technology Officer at Innospec. His career encompasses 30 years of sustained chemical engineering leadership, innovation and practice. He has led the transformation of Octel, a single-product petroleum additives company, into Innospec, a rapidly growing, high-performing, multi-sector speciality chemicals company with a diverse portfolio of newly developed innovative high-added-value products. He has also provided significant leadership within the chemicals industry and the wider community by promoting key industrial needs to government and research funders as well as promoting outreach, sponsorship and mentoring within the academic engineering community.
