Andrea Vedaldi is Professor of Computer Vision and Machine Learning at the University of Oxford, where he co-leads the Visual Geometry Group, one of the most influential computer vision groups worldwide. He is also a technical lead at Meta, working on 3D computer vision and generative AI. Andrea has made contributions across multiple areas of computer vision and machine learning. Andrea is a recipient of the Royal Society Faraday Discovery Fellowship, and a Fellow of the European Laboratory for Learning and Intelligent Systems (ELLIS). He has acted as chair at the European Conference on Computer Vision. His research was recognised by the IEEE Thomas Huang Memorial Prize, the IEEE Mark Everingham Prize, two Best Paper Awards at the Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition, and the Test of Time Award by the ACM.
