Zhong Lin Wang has made pioneering contributions to the inventing and applying triboelectric nanogenerators for self-powered systems and large-scale blue energy His innovations provide a revolutionary approach for harvesting large-scale energy from tidal and ocean waves, aimed at solving the future energy needs of the world. This innovative technology enables energy harvesting from the environment and biological systems and has applications in personal electronics, internet of things, sensor networks, biomedical devices, AI, environmental monitoring and security devices. He has collaborated with faculty at Birmingham, Leeds, Surrey, Manchester, and Cambridge universities in developing these technologies.
