Head of Process Engineering, Costain Group; Co-Founder, Association of Black and Minority Ethnic Engineers
Dr Ollie Folayan is an honorary professor at the School of Science and Engineering at the University of Dundee and a co-founder of the Association of Black and Minority Ethnic Engineers (AFBE-UK). He has authored five international publications on combustion and engineering and has participated in numerous major capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects. Ollie actively promotes notable outreach initiatives, serves as a judge for numerous awards, and frequently speaks at events on a wide range of engineering topics. He has been elected Deputy President of the Institution of Chemical Engineers for the 2025/26 term and will serve as President in waiting for the 2026/27 term. In 2023, Ollie was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire for his contributions to diversity and inclusion in engineering.
