Head of Technology and Innovation, Laing O’Rourke
Since being awarded Young Engineer of the Year in 2018, Chetan Kotur has made a global impact on engineering innovation influencing change across both the automotive and construction sectors. His career started with designing cars at Volvo, to then accelerating the shift to sustainable electric mobility by starting up and launching the electric car brand Polestar. He currently leads the development of game-changing innovations in modern methods of construction at Laing O’Rourke, working on large infrastructure projects such as Hinkley Point C. An alumnus of the Engineering Leaders Scholarship, Chetan continues to support the Academy’s work sitting on a steering group developing future Engineering Leadership Programmes.
